Fasset Win Prestigious Business Award At Portsmouth EBP Event Created on 09/11/2011 09:24:00 Fasset Ltd, the national facilities management company behind Langstone Technology Park was delighted to win the "Amazing Medium Business - Outstanding Contribution to Education" Award at the Portsmouth & South East Hampshire Business Education Business Partnership (EBP) Amazing People Awards Ceremony, held last night at the Langstone Hotel.
The Awards recognise the time, resource and commitment that businesses, schools and other partners invest in developing programmes that support young people’s preparation for adult life and work.
For the second consecutive year, Fasset Ltd has renewed its support for the Learning, Excel, Aspire Programme (LEAP) with students from the local Havant Academy. Once again a team of business mentors will be working with students over the next few months to improve skills that could prove vital for their future employability.
Shortlisted for this award alongside Fasset were, Warings Construction, Portsmouth Marriott Hotel, and Biscoes Solicitors; and Fasset was also shortlisted in the ‘Amazing People in a Sustainable Business Partnership with a School or College’ which was won by The Langstone Hotel.
Five of the Fasset business mentors were at the ceremony to collect the award and Managing Director Gary Medlow said: “On behalf of the Fasset team I would to just reiterate everything that has been said tonight about the positive impact EBP continues to have on our region. Being able to help build up confidence and enthusiasm amongst these youngsters as part of their journey from education to the workplace continues to be very rewarding.
